Position

As a Charge Point Operator (CPO) in Belgium, Interparking is actively expanding its EV charging model into other countries. Today, the company manages a growing network of 2,700 charging points in Belgium, with many more to come in the coming years. Interparking’s focus on high customer satisfaction, new technologies such as multi-level smart charging, and continuous product innovation are key drivers of the EV strategy.

Therefore, our client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Service Manager EV Charging to oversee the daily operations and monitoring of EV charging services across all parking facilities in Belgium and the Netherlands.

To support Interparking's commitment to sustainable mobility solutions, the EV Technical Service Manager will ensure the successful deployment and operation of EV charging infrastructure over the Belgian and Dutch Car Parks of Interparking.

The EV Technical Service Manager will collaborate closely with all internal departments (accounting, marketing, legal,…) and especially with the Technical Managers of each region to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. He/she will also relate intensively with external partners.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and project management skills. He/she will report directly (functional reporting) to the Head of EV charging based at the company's HQ. However, he/she will also report operationally to the heads of operations in the countries.

  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of EV chargers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintenance & interventions: Organize a good maintenance plan to minimalize interventions on the field. Use the CPO platform as a working tool to execute first line analysis & interventions from distance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with different internal and external stakeholders to align installation plans with local requirements and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers and contractors to secure necessary materials and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that all installations meet Interparking's standards and customer expectations.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, highlighting key milestones, KPI’s (revenue, sessions, ...), risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all installations comply with local and national regulations, including electrical safety and environmental standards.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to local teams and on-site staff on the operation and maintenance of EV charging equipment. As an expert you will ensure that every staff member is properly trained (as there are technical staff, control room, intervention teams, customer service, …) and is able to support premium EV charging services to our customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving installation processes, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Operational Excellence: Assure continuous growth in sessions, revenue, Pcard+ usage, kWh’s sold, uptime of the charging stations … and analyze what is needed to improve these KPI’s.

Profile

  • You are in possession of a Master's degree in IT, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in technical project management, previous experience with electrical installations or EV infrastructure is a plus.
  • Ideally you possess a strong knowledge of EV charging technologies, electrical systems, and relevant regulations and/or a great motivation to develop expertise in this area.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and French, with a good command of English.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and handle complex challenges.
  • Travel: you are willing to attend regularly to the different sites in Belgium. Occasional travelling to the Netherlands will also occur.
