Position

Major responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic market access partner for Belgium and Luxembourg (BELUX) and business areas to ensure the development of market access frameworks such as payer engagement, issue management planning, innovative/financial contracting and negotiating, … as well as the engagement of key stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Lead, manage, develop and coach the market access team to achieve or overachieve market share targets.
  • Develop a Contract & Tender strategy for the BELUX market to secure market share and to grow into new market segments. Supervise the BELUX Contract and Tender desk to ensure a successful tender submission.
  • Lead strategic negotiations for both contracts and tenders.
  • Follow-up on public sector and business trends with the aim of developing new services, products, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase of sales.
  • Stay up to date on the market and on competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Recognize and assess key political and policy issues that may impact ADC and industry in both the short- and long-term, propose and discuss related actions within the Management Team.
  • Act as the right hand and report to the Country Manager of Abbott Diabetes Care. Contribute to the development of the ADC BELUX Vision and overall Strategic Business Plan.
  • Define long-term organizational & strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals.

Profile

  • You obtained a Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, economics or equivalent by experience. A Master’s degree in business management (MBA) or a health economic background is an asset.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience within market access and business development and minimum 7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, including a good understanding of pricing calculations and strategies. Experience within Diabetes Care is an asset.
  • You are a senior people manager;
  • You have a strong commercial experience, experience in leading complex projects & building strong working relationships with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders.
  • You have a broad knowledge of government and private payer reimbursement.
  • You can rely on an existing network to local market access stakeholders.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to inspire others.
  • You are fluent in both English, Dutch and French.
