A Belgian investment group manages several companies specializing in visual communication solutions for B2B clients. Each of these companies is an expert in visual communication, supporting clients in conveying messages, promoting products, or enhancing brand image. By addressing each client's specific needs, the group offers tailored advice and provides the right channels and materials. With in-house printing facilities, they deliver high-quality products, and, if required, can also handle on-site installations. To develop, implement, and monitor a cohesive marketing strategy across the seven entities in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, the group is looking for an interim Marketing Manager or Lead.

Context and Objectives:

  • The client currently manages seven companies within this group, all active in the printing sector.
  • Despite individual successes, there is a lack of a unified marketing strategy across these entities.
  • The objective is to develop a new, comprehensive marketing plan from scratch, as there are currently limited or no sustainable marketing activities in place.
  • The interim manager will start with a blank slate to build a robust marketing plan with a strong focus on digital marketing components.

Interim Management Assignment:

  • Develop a complete marketing plan from the ground up, including digital strategies.
  • Research and leverage innovative digital techniques to enhance visibility and support sales.
  • Identify synergies and economies of scale between the different companies in terms of marketing.
  • Focus on cross-selling and upselling to achieve group objectives.
  • Provide support in establishing a clear vision for the group's operational and sales narrative.
  • The interim role may transition to a permanent staff member to ensure the continuation and execution of the established plan.
  • This role reports to the chair of the management committee and the local CEO.

Profile of the Interim Manager:

  • Experience in marketing strategy development to support sales efforts.
  • Ability to convince a management team of the need for a coordinated marketing approach.
  • Capable of creating a marketing plan based on the vision and mission defined by the management team.
  • Willing to explore and utilize the latest digital techniques, such as generative AI.
  • Strong skills in strategy, tactics, and implementation, supported by data-driven insights.
  • Ability to engage general managers in strategic marketing planning.
  • Soft skills: open communication, curiosity, proactive attitude, and a hands-on approach.

Additional Information:

  • Expected duration: approximately 6 months
  • Location: Braine-l'Alleud/Kortrijk, with the expectation of on-site presence and occasional travel to other group locations.
